The Problem
The café has a monopoly on quality. We're ending it.
For too long, great coffee has required a $8,000 machine, a trained barista, or a $9 price tag. The moment you leave a city, step on a plane, start a work swing, or head into the bush — your coffee standard drops.
Instant coffee is not a solution. It's a surrender. We refused to accept it.
The Discovery
Parachute coffee existed. But none of it was good enough.
We discovered parachute drip coffee — a format that lets you brew quality coffee with nothing but hot water. The concept was right. But everything on the market used the minimum amount of coffee to keep costs down, resulting in weak, watery cups that gave the format a bad name.
So we changed the ratio. We increased the dose to what specialty café standards actually require. Then we sourced the Killerbee blend through Single O — one of Australia's most respected specialty roasters.
The result was a cup that surprised people. That's exactly what we set out to make.
